What if I told you that there was a new network coming out that would provide you with the ability to use more data at super fast speeds, save energy, cost less, will use less of your device battery and offers super crazy device connectivity?

Sounds pretty amazing right?!

Well friends, that hypothetical is REAL! And it’s coming to us in the form of 5G.

Remember when 4G was all the rage back in 2010? It was a big deal because it improved upon 3G speeds and efficiencies in every way.

Well it’s the same with 5G replacing 4G.

Major carriers around the world have set 2019 as the year they will start deploying 5G services.

For AT&T this will be the case in 12 cities across the United States, and small businesses in these locations will be the first to have access to the new technology.

The network is LIVE right now in cities including Atlanta, Charlotte, N.C., Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Fla., Louisville, Ky., Oklahoma City, New Orleans, Raleigh, N.C., San Antonio and Waco, Texas.

Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Nashville, Orlando, San Diego, San Francisco and San Jose, Calif are on the agenda for their 5G upgrade soon too.

If you’re a small business in one of these areas: LUCKY YOU! It means that you have a head start in providing innovative services for your customers.

It also improves your ability to watch videos. You can stream videos better for training or learning sessions with your team. You can have waaaay better video calls with clients and customers too

5G will also improve check out times for retailers. Think of a time when it seemed like forever for your credit card swipe to go through. Even though it was probably seconds, you noticed! 5G will totally alleviate this lag and make the process super duper smooth.

Now 5G isn’t nationwide yet, but it should continue to expand to major cities nationwide throughout the rest of the year, and be entirely implemented by 2020.
